Vigour and Skills, a new online platform for exceptional British designers and makers, have chosen to support Amber in their inaugural year. They plan to use their growing platform to raise much needed funds for our work housing and supporting young people facing homelessness and long term unemployment. When restrictions allow we are also planning to work with the network of makers on Vigour and Skills to provide workshops, inspirational talks and new experiences for the young people living at our centres.
Co-founder and owner of Vigour and Skills, Beatrice Savoretti, explains what inspired her to support Amber. “The Amber Foundation is built on re shaping and building people’s lives for the better through strong support systems, care and learning – these values and principles are the guiding force of V+S and our community of makers, with a focus on sustainability, storytelling, and craftsmanship.”
Stephen Ballantyne Head of Fundraising and Communications at Amber said “we are so grateful to Beatrice and Clement for choosing to support Amber and we are looking forward to working with everyone at V+S. Every year we have to fundraise for well over 50% of our income so are hugely reliant on the good will from companies, individuals and community groups to continue our vital work.”
