Amber is delighted to be working with local business Two Bald Blokes. The Devon based training company takes a creative and challenging approach to individual and team development. They develop bespoke solutions to meet specific organisational issues, facilitate inspiring Management and Leadership training and they have kindly agreed to employ their innovative skills to support the Amber Foundation!
Two Bald Blokes were looking to support a local charity and after hearing about the work of the Amber Foundation they decided to arrange a visit to see, first-hand, what the charity did and how it was helping homeless young people to turn their lives around. They visited Ashley Court in March, had a tour, chatted to residents and then spent time with the Centre Manager to understand some of the issues that the charity, the centre in Devon and residents frequently face.
After visiting, Tim and Amanda, the Directors of Two Bald Blokes, were keen to offer their help and support. Tim said, “The Amber Foundation is a perfect fit for us. Youth homelessness is a massive problem within today’s society and we’d really like to do something that has a positive impact on the lives of local young people. Amber feels like an organisation that we can creatively work with and help make a difference to. We have access to a range of specialists from training professionals and coaches to DJ’s, film producers, branding gurus and more, and we are sure that we can support Amber to address some of the challenges that they are currently facing. I am really looking forward to seeing where this journey takes us both.”
So far Two Bald Blokes have run a team building session for the operational staff team in Devon, have engaged an independent film maker to work with the Centre Manger and a couple of residents to create a film to help raise Amber’s public profile (currently in production), attended and supported the charity’s open day ‘AmberFest’ and invited Amber to a very special and unique business networking and training event….’Christmas Song in a Day’. They are also working with Amber to review and improve their social media strategy.
Claire Miller from Amber said, “We are so grateful to the team at Two Bald Blokes for all the work, creativity, energy and time that they are giving to the Amber Foundation. They are such a positive and dynamic organisation to work with and are really helping to move our organisation forward in terms of profile, social media and internal dynamics. With the resources that we have available we would never have been able to afford the specialist support that we are now benefitting from and the best thing is that they are really fun to work with. I really hope that they enjoy working with us and our residents – it is wonderful that a local business is taking such a personal and creative approach to supporting us.”
