Hike the Hill

Beautiful pond with flowers. Picture taken on last year's Hike the Hill event in Surrey. Come and join Hike the Hill 2024 on Sunday 9th June setting off at 9am. This year we will be tackling Box Hill as part of a stunning 10km route while fundraising for Amber’s work.

You will spend a day soaking up the stunning beauty of Surrey while supporting Amber’s work housing and supporting young people facing tough challenges.

Sign up by creating a fundraising page here and donate £20 on your page to receive a free T shirt.  We ask everyone who takes part to raise as much as they can to support our work. Together, we will be aiming to fund a bed space at our Surrey centre. This will provide a young person a safe place and all the support they need to transform their lives.

Louise Cheung, Fundraising Manager for Amber in Surrey said

“Last year was our first Hike the Hill event. 28 supporters came together raising over £4000! The route was expertly planned by Surrey Hills Society who also supported on the day. It took in several beauty spots the Surrey Hills has to offer including beautiful viewpoints, woodlands, Surrey heathland, a pine forest and Leith Hill Tower. This is the highest point in Surrey standing at 294m above sea level! Teams of walkers came from the office of the Surrey Police and Crime Commissioner, HJP Chartered Financial Planners, Wienerberger and Mole Valley Ramblers. Co-op in Rudgwick provided all walkers with a healthy and delicious goody bag which we were very grateful for.

This year we hope even more people will take part so we can raise even more money to support our vital work with young people helping them into work, education or training and most importantly a safe secure place to call home.”
