What is ICAP Charity Day?

The idea behind ICAP Charity Day is simple. By using the core skills of financial professionals, and ICAP’s position at the heart of global markets, they raise funds for people and causes in need.

Started in 1993, ICAP Charity Day brings everyone at the company together. ICAP as a company, together with their brokers, give 100% of one day’s revenue. The celebrity ambassadors of the charity partners’ generate the interest, and ICAP’s clients respond.

The result is significant and lasting positive impact. Over the past 30 years, ICAP Charity Day has raised more than £160 million.  This has supported 2,900 charitable causes around the world, directly supporting more than 7.7 million people.

Amber’s celebrity ambassadors were footballing legend Frank Lampard and Boyzone’s Keith Duffy. They spent the morning at ICAP offices in Victoria and Bishopsgate helping the traders. The money raised will go towards team leaders at Downsview our supported housing centre for young people in Kennginton near Ashford, Kent.

Both Frank and Keith did us proud and completed trades across the globe.

Stephen Ballantyne Amber’s Head of Fundraising and Communications said,

“We would like to say thank you so much to everyone at ICAP for their support. Team leaders are a crucial role at Amber as they provide the majority of the practical and emotional support young people need alongside delivering our development programme. Young people regularly feedback to us that the team leaders’ belief in them is the reason they have turned their lives around.

Thank you Frank, Keith and ICAP! With this support we will be able to help more young people move on to a job, further education or training plus a safe, secure place to call home.”
