Supported Housing Centre at Ashley Court in Devon

Surrounded by beautiful countryside, Ashley Court has extensive facilities that include a gym plus music, art, and computer rooms. The grounds contain a football pitch, a tennis court and a small wood.

Peaceful, yet close to local amenities and a train station, Amber’s supported housing in Devon provides a wonderful environment where young adults can rebuild their lives. The property is large and spacious, with bed spaces for up to 30 to stay at any one time in a mixture of shared and single rooms.

Under the guidance of Team Leaders, young adults learn to respect and support each other alongside building the practical skills they will need when they move on. Everyone follows our Personal Development Programme that helps them identify what is standing in their way so they can move on to a future where they never have to face homelessness again.

Getting young adults ready for the workplace is an important part of our programme at Ashley Court. We have excellent relationships with local employers and recruitment companies, including Hays Recruitment, Willmott Dixon and Fresha Catering.

We enjoy an excellent relationship with our local community and regularly help with local projects, such as upkeep at the local church and catering at the village market.

Having them involved with things like our Hot Lunch Club and helping with upkeep of the churchyard has been good for us to get to know some of the young people and hear their stories.  These young people being part of our community has enabled many to grasp the difficulties that the young people have encountered and helped them to understand some of the issues around homelessness and the associated behaviours that often go hand in hand.  We love having them on our doorstep."
