Arts Alive Open Morning in Surrey

On Thursday 5th October we ran our annual open morning at Farm Place, our Surrey centre, in association with Mole Valley Arts Alive. Among the attendees were the Chairman of our District Council, the Chair of Arts Alive, and our referring partners.

Arts Alive 2023 theme is ‘culture’ so we encouraged young people to think about culture when creating their pieces. Artworks displayed included ink and bleach pieces with hidden spirit animals, hand moulded clay works and individual handprints. Also on offer was a tour of Farm Place plus tea and cake in the dining room. We were joined by Clare from Froggetts Farm Flowers who had dahlia bouquets available for a donation.

Louise Cheung, Fundraising Manager for Farm Place, said

“It was a wonderful morning! It was lovely to see so many people coming to find out about our work and view artwork produced young people at Amber. We are proud that art, music and creative workshops feature throughout the work that we do. It provides a welcome release for many whether they are a complete novice or rediscovering an existing interest.”
