Mark Webber visits Amber in Surrey

On Wednesday 26th July we welcomed nine-time Formula One Grand Prix winner and TV pundit Mark Webber to Farm Place, our centre in Surrey. Farm Place provides vital housing and support to up to 30 young people facing homelessness and unemployment from across the county and beyond.

Mark first became aware of Amber’s work through his friend Eddie Jordan and has supported several of our Amber Rocks charity events over the last 10 years.

Earlier this year we were delighted when he agreed to become an Amber ambassador so invited him for a visit. He had a tour, saw our facilities, met young people currently at the centre and enjoyed a game of rounders.

Mark said “it was great to spend some time with these guys. They have chosen to put crime, addiction and homelessness behind them. With the help of Amber they’re determined to find a better way.”
