A Royal Visit for Amber

The young people at Amber’s Farm Place have been treated to a visit by HRH The Countess of Wessex. On the visit, The Countess met the residents and saw Amber’s programme in action. A group of young people were taking part in a workshop to explore their ambitions and shared the life maps that they had been creating. Her Royal Highness also saw a performance of a song written by Emily, who has been at Farm Place for 8 months. Emily said:

“It was lovely to meet The Countess and great that she could visit. All the young people were really looking to the day and have been involved in the planning. I worked on a song called ‘Young Blood,’ which is about moving on with my life. It was brilliant to get that chance to perform it for her.”

Paul Rosam, CEO at Amber accompanied HRH The Countess of Wessex on the visit:

“We all had a really great day. The young people loved having Her Royal Highness to visit and were proud to show off the centre and demonstrate the different things that they do here. It was brilliant that she took the time to visit the centre and engage with the young people – it will really give the residents but also the staff a real boost.”
