Workwear Pro Direct names Amber as their charity for 2021

This year we are thrilled to be partnering with Workwear Pro Direct a supplier of branded workwear based in the South West.

Since 2017, parent company Identity UK has donated 2.5% of their total sales value to charity through their ongoing Gift Back scheme. To date over £9,000 has been raised.

Gift Back was created by Identity UK’s Managing Director, Martyn Perry as he wanted to ensure that the success of his business had a positive effect on the wider community.

“Charitable corporate giving is not just the work of the multinational corporates; it was important to me to embed charitable giving into my business model. Participating in Gift Back is free. It does not cost our customers any extra yet gives them the feel-good of knowing that their purchase is creating positive social impact.”

Martyn first found out about Amber at the beginning of last year and in November took part in the first virtual Eden Project Sleep Out where he braved an extremely chilly night in his garden to raise awareness of youth homelessness.

Rebecca Fry, Fundraising Manager said

“Amber houses and supports disadvantaged young people grappling with homelessness and long term unemployment. We provide full support plus a range of opportunities so they can move on to a bright independent future. Every year we have to fundraise for well over 50% of our income so are hugely reliant on the good will from companies, individuals and community groups to continue our vital work. We are delighted to be chosen by Martyn and his team to be the main beneficiary of their Gift Back scheme this year and look forward to working with them”.
